Diamond color
varies from D to Z, with D containing
the least and Z - the most color. It is
not the color, but rather the lack of
color that distinguishes a high-quality
diamond. The most valuable diamonds are
the ones with the least color
D
- is the highest color grade; absolutely
colorless and a very rare diamond.
E
- is a very high color grade; colorless
and a rare diamond.
F
- is also a very high color grade;
colorless, but very slight color can be
detected
by only an expert gemologist.
G,
H - is a high color grade;
near-colorless diamond.
I,
J - near-colorless and color is
slightly detectable.
K-Z
